Leviticus 25.1–13 + Deuteronomy 14.22–16.17

God’s law in God’s Old Words, the Old Testament, shows Israel how to live as God’s people. One part of the law shows Israel how to celebrate the amazing things God has done for his people. The rests, the gifts and the festivals helped the Israelites to remember all the good things God did for them and to practise living like God’s people should.
