Who is in the Bible Big Book

We have learnt that the Bible is a big book of God’s words that tell God’s story. But God’s story is all about people. In the Bible, we find out about how the people God made lived in the world God made. In the Bible, we find out if people lived faithfully with God as their Great King, or if they were unfaithful. This term, we will learn about who is in the Bible and how they lived in God’s world.

This Big Book is designed to be printed on A3 paper and shared with your class. Gluing each page onto A3 card will make the Big Book last longer. You can use this Big Book by adding one page week by week to revise the lessons you've previously taught or you can print the whole book all at once and read it each week to your class. There are also class activities to complete on each page.

Genesis 2.4–3.24

The first person that we meet in the Bible is a man called Adam. Adam is the very first person God made. Adam is also the very first person who disobeys God, the Great King.

Genesis 6.5–9.17

After Adam comes Noah. Noah lived in a time when everyone disobeyed God, the Great King. But Noah obeyed God. And God saved Noah from a very big flood.

Kings ruled over the people of Israel when they moved to the Promised Land. God sent messengers to speak to the kings of Israel and Judah. God’s messengers spoke God’s words. Elijah was God’s messenger. Elijah spoke God’s words to unfaithful King Ahab.

Isaiah 6.1–9.7

God chose Isaiah to give his people some messages. Some of the messages were bad messages. But some of Isaiah’s messages were full of hope.

Peter was a fisherman who became a follower of Jesus. Peter followed Jesus everywhere and saw the amazing things Jesus did. Peter told everyone the Very Good News about Jesus, the Promised King.

Just like Peter, John was also a follower of Jesus. John saw the amazing things that Jesus did. John knew that Jesus was the way God showed his love to us. John wrote a book about Jesus. John also wrote letters to help the church.

Acts 9.1–31

Paul did not faithfully follow Jesus, the Promised King. Paul wanted to hurt or kill all the people who did follow Jesus. But then something amazing happened. Jesus, the Promised King, spoke to Paul and everything changed.
