Who is God Big Book

The most important thing we can ever learn about is God. Learning about God helps us know how to live as his people. This term, we will learn all about God—who he is and what he does.

This Big Book is designed to be printed on A3 paper and shared with your class. Gluing each page onto A3 card will make the Big Book last longer. You can use this Big Book by adding one page week by week to revise the lessons you've previously taught or you can print the whole book all at once and read it each week to your class. There are also class activities to complete on each page.

Genesis 1.1 + Psalm 90.2

Who made God? No one! God was not made by anyone. He has always been alive. God has lived forever and ever.

Genesis 1

What did God make? God made the heavens and the earth. He made everything in the heavens and the earth. God made everything.

Genesis 1.1 + Acts 17.24

Who is God? God is the Great King of heaven and earth. God was before everything and God made the heavens and the earth. This makes God the Great King of everything.

Deuteronomy 4.32–40

Are there any other gods apart from God, the Great King? No. There is only one God. God, the Great King, is the only God.

Genesis 1.26–27

When God made the world and everything in it and around it, one of the things he made was people. These people were different to everything else on the earth. They were special because they were made in God’s image.

Psalm 8.3–9

We have learnt that God is the Great King of heaven and earth. But even though God is the Great King, he still cares for the people he has made.

God, the Great King, is not like anything he has made. This is because God is holy. Holy means special and different and always and only good. God, the Great King, is holy, holy, holy.

Numbers 23.19 + Psalm 102.25–27

Everything in our world changes. Plants, animals, the ocean, outer space—even people change. But what about God? Does God, the Great King, ever change? No. Everything in our world changes, but God doesn’t change.

One of the best things about God, the Great King, is that he makes promises and always, always keeps them.
