The Meal of the Kingdom

The new kingdom has a new meal that remembers and celebrates the saving act of the king. At the new meal, there is no need for a lamb to sacrifice because there is a new lamb—Jesus. He will suffer and die to save his people. You don’t get to eat this meal because you deserve it, but because you need it. King Jesus is the gracious host who provides everything that is needed for this meal.
