Jesus has explained that he is a servant king who will suffer and die for his people. However, this is not the final state for King Jesus. The transfiguration gives us a sneak preview of what King Jesus will finally be like. Not only does he beat all of this world’s enemies, but he will be a glorious king, full of power.
